Why, YOU, the super-awesome Adrienne has inspired me, of course! I'm about to finish the 2nd week of daily green smoothies, and while the rest of my eating habits are in the pits, it's like making your bed every morning to start out with a small victory. So thanks for saving me from myself, A!

That is a GREAT idea, Lara! To increase the amount of veggie any recipe calls for. Thanks for sharing it. And what, pray tell, gave you this amazing inspiration? Do feel free to share here what it is :)

Now that I've gotten such amazing inspiration, I am going to try to have veggies prepped to snack on so when I reach for something to eat they are there, waiting. One thing I always do is add at least 50% more veggies than is called for in whatever I'm cooking. So if a soup recipe says, "2 carrots, 2 celery," I double that. Or if they say, "1 cup peas," I add 1.5 cups. Or whatever I have on hand that won't totally throw the taste off.

Thanks to you, Lorraine, for the comment.
There has been a little quiet yet strong word that keeps coming to my mind on all this....surrender.
And I have found, the more I surrender to what is happening and my choice to continue nurse because I really feel it is the best for her, the better it all is. I tend to fight how I feel, continually feel unsure, fight my fatigue (and me angry at myself for it) and this is all a big waste of energy.
So I am learning and trying to trust my intuition.
